(1) Hunter's Glen/Ford, Ltd., a Texas limited partnership, is the record holder
of 8,002,439 shares of Common Stock of Liberte Investors Inc. The general
partners of Hunter's Glen/Ford, Ltd. are Gerald J. Ford and Ford Diamond
Corporation, a Texas corporation which is wholly-owned by Mr. Ford. The sole
limited partner of Hunter's Glen/Ford, Ltd. is a trust established for the
benefit of Mr. Ford's children. Therefore, Mr. Ford is deemed to beneficially
own all 8,002,439 shares of Common Stock held by Hunter's Glen/Ford, Ltd.
