SUPPLEMENT DATED SEPTEMBER 20, 1996
TO THE PROSPECTUS
DATED DECEMBER 1, 1995
On September 6, 1996, the Board of Directors approved an amendment to
the Advisory Agreement that would increase the management fee payable by the
Fund to USAA Investment Management Company to a flat fee of three-quarters of
one percent (.75%) of average net assets. The amendment is subject to
shareholder approval. A special meeting of shareholders to vote on the
proposed amendment has been scheduled for November 20, 1996. If approved by
the shareholders, the amendment would become effective on January 1, 1997.
