Enclosed is the report for the period from June 26, 1999 to July 30, 1999 for
World Monitor Trust--Series A (the 'Trust'). The net asset value of an interest
as of July 30, 1999 was $89.90, a decrease of 6.89% from the June 25, 1999 value
of $96.55. The 1999 calendar year-to-date return for the Trust was a decrease of
8.55%.

The estimated net asset value per interest as of August 13, 1999 was $88.72.
