Enclosed is the report for the period from March 27, 1999 to April 30, 1999 for
World Monitor Trust--Series A (the 'Trust'). The net asset value of an interest
as of April 30, 1999 was $104.60, an increase of 2.90% from the March 26, 1999
value of $101.65. The 1999 calendar year-to-date return for the Trust was an
increase of 6.40%.
The estimated net asset value per interest as of May 14, 1999 was $102.42. Past
performance is not necessarily indicative of future results.
