effective by the SEC, which represented the Fund's election to register an
indefinite number of shares of the Money Market Series. On May 1, 1979, Post-
Effective Amendment No. 17 to the Registration Statement of Dreyfus Money
Market Instruments, Inc. was declared effective by the SEC which represented
the Fund's election to register an indefinite number of shares of the
Government Securities Series. This Notice, filed pursuant to Rule 24f-2, is
