Apple Reaches Settlement of Shareholder Derivative Action
CUPERTINO, California -- September 3, 1999 -- Apple today announced it has
reached a settlement, subject to court approval, of shareholder derivative
action known as Kostick vs. Crisp, which has been pending since January 1996.
Under the settlement, Apple's Board of Directors will take certain corporate
governance actions involving amendments to the Company's by-laws and the
Company's policy concerning trading in Company securities. More details
regarding the settlement terms can be obtained from the formal notice which
was published in Investor's Business Daily today, September 3, 1999, or by
