This is an Amendment No. 1 to the Schedule 13G filed on June 10, 1997 (the
"Schedule 13G") on behalf of Hitachi, Ltd. and Hitachi Metals, Ltd. Unless
specifically amended and/or restated herein, the disclosure set forth in the
