Scudder Zero Coupon 2000 Fund
Supplement to Prospectus
Dated May 1, 1998
The Board of Trustees of Scudder Funds Trust has approved an agreement and
plan of reorganization that calls for Scudder Short Term Bond Fund, one series
of the Trust, to acquire the assets and liabilities of Scudder Zero Coupon 2000
Fund (the "Fund"), another series of the Trust, on December 18, 1998 or as soon
as possible thereafter. Shares of the Scudder Short Term Bond Fund will then be
distributed to shareholders of the Fund, and the Fund will be abolished. A
Special Meeting of shareholders to vote on this plan and other matters is
scheduled for December 15, 1998.
As a result of Trustee approval of the agreement and plan of reorganization,
the Fund will cease to accept new accounts effective September 29, 1998.
Scudder Short Term Bond Fund
Supplement to Prospectus
Dated May 1, 1998
Effective October 1, 1998, the Fund's investment adviser, Scudder Kemper
Investments, Inc., and certain of its subsidiaries, have agreed to waive and
reimburse, respectively, all or portions of their fees payable by the Fund to
the extent necessary so that the total annualized expenses of the Fund do not
exceed 0.85% of average daily net assets of the Fund until September 30, 1999.
