Supplement to Prospectus dated May 1, 1995
Shareholders of John Hancock Global Technology Fund (the "Fund") who
were shareholders of John Hancock National Aviation & Technology Fund
("National Aviation") who held shares prior to May 1, 1984 are permitted for an
indefinite period to purchase additional shares of the Fund at net asset value,
without a sales charge, provided that the purchasing shareholder held shares of
National Aviation continuously from April 30, 1984 to July 28, 1995 (the date
of the merger of National Aviation into the Fund) and shares of the Fund from
that date to the date of the purchase in question.
