FOUNDERS FUNDS, INC.
Supplement to Prospectus Dated May 1, 1996
The section of the Fund's prospectus entitled "Investment Management of the
Funds - Portfolio Management" is hereby amended on page 26 by deleting the
paragraph concerning Patrick S. Adams (who no longer is associated with
Founders), and replacing that paragraph with the following:
Brian F. Kelly, Portfolio Manager
Mr. Kelly joined Founders in 1996 as the lead portfolio manager of the
Founders Blue Chip and Balanced Funds. Prior to joining Founders, Mr.
Kelly served as a vice president (1994 to 1996) and portfolio manager
(1993 to 1996) for INVESCO Trust Company, and as a senior equity
investment analyst for Sears Investment Management Company (1986 to
1993). A graduate of the University of Notre Dame, Mr. Kelly received
his MBA and JD from the University of Iowa.
He is also a Certified Public Accountant.
The date of this Supplement is July 1, 1996.
