Explanation of Responses:
(1) The securities were acquired in connection with the closing of the Agreement and
Plan of Merger Among General Electric Company ("GE"), Topaz Merger Corp. and Lunar
Corporation ("Lunar") (the "Merger"). Upon the closing of the Merger, the shares
of Lunar stock were converted into the right to receive 0.322 shares of GE common
stock and cash in lieu of fractional shares.
