         National Fuel Gas Company ("National") and its wholly-owned 
subsidiaries submitted that filing (Post-Effective Amendment No. 3 in 
this proceeding) to seek the release of jurisdiction over certain 
system money pool transactions between National and its wholly-owned 
non-utility subsidiary, Seneca Resources Corporation ("Seneca").

         Such release of jurisdiction is not necessary since those 
transactions are now exempt transactions pursuant to newly amended 
Rules 52(b) and 52(d).
