THIS SUPPLEMENT PROVIDES NEW AND ADDITIONAL INFORMATION BEYOND THAT CONTAINED IN
THE PROSPECTUS. IT SHOULD BE RETAINED AND READ IN CONJUNCTION WITH SUCH
PROSPECTUS.
 
As of September 10, 1998, the "Portfolios" of SEI Daily Income Trust will be
redesignated as "Funds."
