On July 14, 2000, 3Com Corporation announced that the final
distribution ratio for the distribution of shares of Palm, Inc. common stock to
3Com stockholders is 1.484 shares of Palm common stock for each share of 3Com
common stock that was outstanding on the record date, July 11, 2000. The shares
of Palm will be distributed to 3Com's stockholders of record as of 5:00 p.m.
Eastern Time on July 27, 2000.
