                  Supplement to the Prospectus
                                

      Commencing  September  1, 1995, The  Chase  Manhattan  Bank
(National  Association) became successor to United  States  Trust
Company of New York as Trustee of each Series of The First  Trust
GNMA  Series.  This change will have no material effect upon Unit
holders of a Series of The First Trust GNMA Series.  In addition,
the  address  and  phone  number for the Trustee  listed  in  the
Prospectus will remain the same.
