State below in reasonable detail the reasons why the Form 10-K, 11-K, 10-Q,
N-SAR, or the transition report or portion thereof, could not be filed with the

As reported in American Ecology's March 10-Q 1996, every effort is being made
to restore the health of the Corporation. Through relocation of the corporate
headquarter's to Boise, Idaho there has been further delays, and further costs.
It has been difficult to raise capital to fund operations for registrant.
The relocation of corporate headquarters to Boise, Idaho, has caused delays in
getting all of the corporate records properly archived. The payroll records are
located in both Houston and Boise, and has been the major cause for delay in
filing the 11-K.
