OPPENHEIMER MONEY MARKET FUND, INC.
Supplement dated September 16, 1996 
to the Statement of Additional Information dated April 15, 1996

      The Statement of Additional Information is amended as follows:

      1.    The sixth sentence in the section captioned "How the Fund is
Managed-Directors and Officers of the Fund" on page 6 is deleted and
replaced with the following sentence:  "That statement does not include
ownership of shares held of record by an employee benefit plan for
employees of the Manager (two of the officers of the Fund listed below,
Ms. Macaskill and Mr. Donohue, are trustees of that plan) other than
the shares beneficially owned under that plan by the officers of the
Fund listed below."

      2.    The asterisk following the title of President for Bridget A.
Macaskill on page 7 is deleted.

      3.    The first two sentences of the section captioned "How the
Fund is Managed- Remuneration of Trustees" on page 9 are deleted and
replaced with the following:

      The officers of the Fund are affiliated with the Manager.  They
and the Directors of the Fund who are affiliated with the Manager
(Messrs. Galli and Spiro) received no salary or fee from the Fund.  The
Directors of the Fund (excluding Messrs. Galli and Spiro) received the
total amounts shown below from the Fund, during its fiscal year ended
December 31, 1995, and from all 17 of the New York-based Oppenheimer
funds (including the Fund) listed in the first paragraph of this
section (and from Oppenheimer Time Fund, Oppenheimer Global Environment
Fund and Oppenheimer Mortgage Income Fund, which ceased operations
following the acquisition of their assets by certain other Oppenheimer
funds), for services in the positions shown in the chart below.
