On August 12, 1996 IDS Managed Retirement Fund will change its name
to IDS Managed Allocation Fund.
In the section titled "Investment manager and transfer agent" in
the first sentence, the paragraph under the graph, has been revised
to state:
"This fee may be increased or decreased by a performance adjustment
based on a comparison of performance of Class A shares of the Fund
to the Lipper Flexible Portfolio Index."
