Scudder Variable Life Investment Fund. This information is provided to you on
the reverse side of this letter and is a supplement to the 1996 Prospectus you
received earlier this year. Please keep this supplement in your files with your
Prospectus.
We would like to inform you of a change in the investment advisory fee
structure for International Portfolio. As of August 12, 1996, the investment
advisory fee for the Portfolio will be .775% of the Portfolio's average daily
net assets in excess of $500 million. The investment advisory fee for the
Portfolio will remain at .875% of the first $500 million of such assets.
