Supplement to the Current Prospectus

The third and fourth sentences under the caption Management 
of the Fund - Investment Adviser on page 12 of the 
Prospectus have been deleted and replaced in their entirety 
by the following sentences:

John F. Brennan, Jr., a Senior Vice President of the 
Adviser, has been the Funds portfolio manager since May 1, 
1995.  Mr. Brennan has been employed by the Adviser since 
1985.

The date of this Supplement is May 1, 1995
