On behalf of Federated Short-Term U.S. Government Trust, I hereby submit
this application for withdrawal of the Supplement to the Prospectus pursuant to
Rule 497(e) of the Securities Act of 1933 filed March 17, 1995.
This 497(e) filing is being withdrawn because it was inadvertently filed
for this Trust and should have been filed for Federated Short-Intermediate
Government Trust. A 497(e) filing was made for Federated Short-Intermediate
Government Trust March 20, 1995. Please issue an order with respect to this
application for withdrawal at the earliest date the Staff deems appropriate.
Pursuant to the requirements of Rule 478 of the Act, this application for
withdrawal of the 497(e) filing has been signed by the Secretary and Agent for
Service for the Trust this 28nd day of March, 1995.
