We are pleased to inform you about the following changes in three Portico
Funds management and to provide you with some background on the new managers.
Federal securities regulations require us to notify you whenever a portfolio
manager of a fund changes.
Effective June, 1996 -
Teresa Westman and Marian Zentmyer co-manage Portico Balanced Fund. A Senior
Vice President and Senior Portfolio Manager of Firstar Investment Research &
Management Company ("FIRMCO"), Ms. Westman joined Firstar in 1987 and has
nine years of investment management experience.
Ms. Westman is a Chartered Financial Analyst and has co-managed the Fund
since its inception on March 30, 1992. Ms. Zentmyer, a Senior Vice President
and Senior Portfolio Manager of FIRMCO, has been with Firstar since 1982 and
has eighteen years of investment management experience.
In addition, Ms. Zentmyer co-manages Portico Growth and Income Fund and
Portico MidCore Growth Fund. Ms. Zentmyer is a Chartered Financial Analyst
and Certified Financial Planner.
Marian Zentmyer, J. Scott Harkness, and Joe Frohna co-manage Portico MidCore
Growth Fund. Mr. Harkness is Chairman, a Director and Chief Investment
Officer of FIRMCO. He has been with Firstar for seventeen years and has
eighteen years of investment management experience.
In addition, Mr. Harkness co-manages Portico Special Growth Fund. Mr. Harkness
is a Chartered Financial Analyst. Joe Frohna has been with Firstar since
1995 and has three years of investment management experience. He is an
Investment Officer and Portfolio Manager of FIRMCO. Mr. Frohna is a
Certified Public Accountant.
J. Scott Harkness, Todd Krieg and Mark Westman will continue to co-manage
Portico Special Growth Fund. Mr. Harkness has managed the Fund since its
inception on December 28, 1989.
Mr. Krieg and Mr. Westman have been with Firstar since 1992 and have five
years of investment management experience. Both Mr. Krieg and Mr. Westman
are Vice Presidents and Senior Portfolio Managers of FIRMCO and have co-
managed the Fund since September 1, 1994 and January 1, 1994, respectively.
Mr. Krieg is Director of Equity Research at FIRMCO and Mr. Westman is a
Chartered Financial Analyst.

Effective June, 1996 Mark Westman is the sole portfolio manager for
Portico MicroCap Fund. Mr. Westman has been with Firstar since 1992,
has five years of investment management experience and has co-managed
the Fund since its inception on August 1, 1995. He is a Vice President
and Senior Portfolio Manager of FIRMCO as well as a Chartered Financial
Analyst.

We would like to inform you of personnel changes at Firstar Investment
Research & Management Company (FIRMCO). In June, 1996, Bart Wear and Joe
Docter resigned their portfolio management positions to establish a money
management firm. We are fortunate FIRMCO has such a depth of professional
talent from which we can draw and have made the following portfolio
management appointments.
