The Portfolio Managers
The following replaces the paragraph under "The Portfolio
Managers-International Portfolio" on page 24 of the Prospectus:
Ms. Jeanne Dorey and Mr. David Lui are the co-portfolio managers of
the Fund and as such are primarily responsible for the day-to-day management of
the Fund's investments. Ms. Dorey is also Co-Portfolio Manager of the
International Series of The Phoenix Edge Series Fund, also advised by PIC, and
of Phoenix Worldwide Opportunities Fund. Ms. Dorey has served as Vice President
of PIC since April 1993, and as Vice President of the Fund and Portfolio Manager
of the Fund, Phoenix Worldwide Opportunities Fund and Phoenix International
Series since February 1993. Since May 1993, she has also served as Vice
President of National Securities & Research Corporation, an affiliate of PIC.
From 1990 to 1992, Ms. Dorey was an Investment Analyst and Portfolio Manager
with Pioneer Group, Inc. Mr. Lui is also Co-Portfolio Manager of Phoenix
Worldwide Opportunities Fund and the International Series of The Phoenix Edge
Series Fund. Mr. Lui previously served as Associate Portfolio Manager of such
funds since June 1995. From 1993 to 1995, Mr. Lui was Vice President of Asian
Equities at Alliance Capital Management and from 1990 to 1993, he was an
Associate, Capital Markets, at Bankers Trust.
