The fund invests primarily in debt securities of U.S. and
foreign issuers so under normal market conditions at least
80% of the fund's net assets will be investment-grade
corporate or government debt securities including money
market instruments.
The fund also invests in debt securities below investment-
grade, convertible securities, common stocks and derivative
instruments.
The first paragraph of the section titled "Facts about investments
and their risks" is modified to read as follows:
Investment-grade debt securities: The price of an
investment-grade debt security fluctuates as interest rates
change or if its credit rating is upgraded or downgraded.
