Richard Lazarchic joined AEFC in 1979 and serves as portfolio
manager. He was appointed portfolio manager of this fund July
1995. He has been portfolio manager of IDS Managed Retirement
Fund, Inc. since 1993. He was manager of IDS Utilities Income Fund
from 1989 through mid-1993 and IDS Diversified Income Fund from
1990 to 1994.
