John Hancock Tax-Free Bond Fund (the "Fund") is a series of John Hancock
Tax-Free Bond Fund, a Massachusetts business trust (the "Trust"). The Trust name
will change to John Hancock Tax-Free Trust effective July 1, 1996. The Fund name
will not change.
