The section "Automatic Investment Plan," found under "How to Start Your
Templeton Capital Accumulation Plan," is replaced in its entirety with the
following:
AUTOMATIC INVESTMENT PROGRAM
Our automatic investment program offers a convenient way to invest in the Plan.
Under the program, you can have money transferred automatically from your
checking or savings account to a Plan each month to buy additional shares. If
you are interested in this program, please refer to the shareholder application
included with this prospectus or contact your investment representative. The
market value of the Fund's shares may fluctuate and a systematic investment plan
such as this will not assure a profit or protect against a loss. You may
discontinue the program at any time by sending written notice to the Sponsor,
which must be received at least 10 days prior to the collection date.
