SUPPLEMENT DATED SEPTEMBER 7, 1995, TO THE
STATEMENT OF ADDITIONAL INFORMATION DATED AUGUST 28, 1995.
The section of the Statement of Additional Information describing the
Officers and Trustees is hereby supplemented by adding Linda Hutton Heagy as a
Trustee of the Fund.
Ms. Heagy is the Managing Partner of the Chicago office of Paul Ray
Berndtson, an Executive Recruiting and Management Consulting Firm. From June of
1992 to April of 1995, Ms. Heagy was an Executive Vice President of ABN AMRO,
N.A., a Dutch bank holding company. Prior to 1992, Ms. Heagy was an Executive
Vice President of LaSalle National Bank. Prior to 1990, Ms. Heagy was an
Executive Vice President of Exchange National Bank.
Effective September 7, 1995, Ms. Heagy also serves as a Trustee of each of
the other Van Kampen American Capital Funds. Ms. Heagy's principal business
address is 10 South Riverside Plaza, Suite 720, Chicago, IL 60606.
Richard E. Caruso is no longer a Trustee of the Fund.
