On January 9, 2001, Daisytek International Corporation issued a
press release filed herewith as Exhibit 99.1, related to the
acquisition of Etertin y CIA, S.A. in Buenos Aires, Argentina for
approximately $5.6 million in cash (including $ 1.1 million in escrow)
plus assumed working capital liabilities. The acquisition closed on
December 22, 2000, with an effective date of October 1, 2000.
