The following replaces the third paragraph under the caption "Management of the
Fund - Investment Adviser and Administrator" on page 7 of the Prospectus:
Daniel J. Cardell is primarily responsible for the day-to-day management of the
Fund. Mr. Cardell has been a principal of the Adviser since May 1996. Prior to
joining the Adviser, Mr. Cardell was Senior Vice President and Director of
Equities for the Bank of America.
