On July 6, 2000, Bell Microproducts Inc. issued a press release
announcing $180 million subordinated debt financing with the Retirement Systems
of Alabama. A copy of the press release is filed as Exhibit 99.1 to this Form
8-K. Also, on July 6, 2000, Bell Microproducts Inc. issued a press release
announcing its plans to locate its new Corporate Technology Center in
Montgomery, Alabama with over 300 people to be employed. A copy of the press
release is filed as Exhibit 99.2 to this Form 8-K.
