Sun Healthcare Group, Inc. ("Sun") requires additional time to complete the
Form 10-Q because Sun just completed and filed its Form10-K for the year ended
December 31, 1998 on April 23, 1999.

Sun Healthcare Group, Inc. will report a loss for the quarter ended
March 31, 1999. Specific information will be contained in a press release
