The following supplements, and should be read in conjunction with, the
disclosure found in the Statement of Additional Information for the above mutual
fund (the "Fund"):
The first paragraph under the caption "CUSTODIAN AND TRANSFER AGENT" is
amended and restated to read as follows:
Effective July 15, 1996, State Street Bank and Trust Company, 225 Franklin
Street, Boston, Massachusetts 02110, serves as custodian for the Fund pursuant
to a custodian agreement under which it holds the Portfolios' assets.
