DATED MAY 1, 1996
The section of the prospectus entitled "Portfolio Managers" under the
sub-title "VA Money Market Fund" is amended to reflect the following change
effective June 12, 1996:
Pamela K. Bledsoe, Executive Director of Fixed Income Investments since June
1995, assumed portfolio management responsibilities of the VA Money Market Fund,
replacing J. Eric Thorderson. Ms. Bledsoe has eight years investment management
experience and has worked for USAA IMCO since July 1991, where she has held
various positions in Fixed Income Investments.
