Purchase payments may be made under the Contract only during the first three
contract years.
In addition to the variable account options offered under the Contract, the
Contract provides one fixed interest option. Under the one year option, interest
rates are declared for twelve month periods. Under no circumstances will a
declared rate be less than 3%. No other fixed interest options are offered under
the Contract.
