Supplement to page 8 of the Prospectus dated September 7, 1995

Notwithstanding anything to the contrary in the Prospectus,
the following shall be added immediately after the second
sentence of the fourth paragraph appearing on page 8 of the
Prospectus:

"A technology revolution which affects our daily lives is
currently spanning the globe. Consider the advancements of the
last few years made possible by technology - personal computers,
fax machines, cellular phones, online data services, and the
convergence of computers and communications. Companies are
investing and will continue to invest into technology to enhance
their productivity and to stay ahead of the competition. As
American technology companies discover, innovate, research and
develop these technologies, businesses, consumers, and
governments across the globe are waiting to buy the products
resulting from their efforts. Individuals are also increasing
their spending on technology. Consider the sheer number of
personal computers in the home, the proliferation of software for
education and entertainment purposes, and the ever-increasing
amount of services and information accessible on the worldwide
Internet.. The Sponsor has selected common stocks for both
American Technology Growth Trust, Series 1 and American
Technology Growth & Treasury Securities Trust, Series 2 of those
companies which it believes are best positioned to take advantage
of the ongoing technology boom."
