The Plan is still awaiting certain information from The Bank & Trust of Puerto
Rico and Banco Popular de Puerto Rico, the former and current Trustees,
respectively. The information is necessary to complete the supplemental
schedules to the financial statements for the Plan. The Plan was unable to
obtain the information in time to file the Form 11-K on June 30, 1999.
