The following supplements and should be read in conjunction with the disclosure
contained in the Portfolio's Prospectus under the caption "Description of the
Portfolio."
The Portfolio may use investment techniques such as short-selling and leverage
through borrowing, which involves greater risk than that incurred by many other
funds with similar objectives that do not engage in such techniques. The use of
these investment techniques may produce higher than normal portfolio turnover
which would result in comparatively greater brokerage commissions paid by the
Portfolio.
