The first paragraph on page 12 under the subsection titled "TCW Galileo
Core Fixed Income Fund--Investment Objectives/Approach" is hereby amended to
state:
The Fund seeks to provide maximum current income and achieve above average
total return consistent with prudent investment management over a full
market cycle. To pursue this goal, it invests (except when maintaining a
temporary defensive position) at least 65% of the value of its total assets
in fixed income securities rated A or higher by Moody's or S&P. These
securities include U.S. Government obligations, bonds, notes, debentures,
mortgage-backed securities, asset based securities, foreign securities
(government and corporate) and other securities bearing fixed or variable
interest rates of any maturity.
