Supplement to the Prospectus dated March 30, 1999
The following supplements the information with respect to the
Worldwide High Income Portfolio under the "PORTFOLIO MANAGEMENT"
section on page 53 of the Prospectus:
Thomas L. Bennett no longer serves as a portfolio manager for the
Worldwide High Income Portfolio and the information pertaining to
him is hereby deleted from page 53 of the Prospectus. Gordon W.
Loery is a new Co-Portfolio Manager to the Worldwide High Income
Portfolio. Mr. Loery is a Principal of MSAM and a portfolio
manager of MSAM's high-yield investments. Mr. Loery joined MSAM
in 1990 as a fixed income analyst and has been a portfolio
manager since 1996.
